What Is Test Cord Used for?
DESCRIPTIONS
2-pole test cord, 4-pole LSA test plug + 4-pole N test plug to alligator clip, M plug, 8P2C modular plug, 6P2C modular plug (TP-1220-2LNAM86) is used for testing the telephone line. The LSA plug is used for inserting into the LSA module, M plug for inserting into the M block, and the alligator clip and modular plug for connecting to the telephone testing kit.
The grey 2-pole cord permits parallel connection (monitor function) when it is used in the connection or disconnection module. The contacts of the cord bridge the centre contacts of the module which permit monitoring of the line (connection line). 2-pole cords cannot be used in switching modules. The metal contacts would not make a positive contact in this case.
