According to the disclosure of the staffs of the three major operators, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom will launch the “no clearance of the remained traffic data in the package” services on October 1st. The operators will launch the “rollover data” service mode to all the subscribers automatically, if the traffic data in the package was not used up, then the remained data can be transferred to the next month and used first. As we have learnt, the news will be released at the end of this month.
Since May of this year, the three major operators have launched the “no clearance of the remained traffic data” services in certain business and the traffic data donation services. But according to a survey, 78.7% of the 65,000 respondents in the survey believe “the three major operators are not sincere”. In particularly, reduce the cost of the "night traffic data" and other measures are the most complaint points.
As the MVNOs gradually develops, Snail Mobile, Suning Mobile, Ali Telecom and other MVNOs have launched "zero tariff, no package, no clearance of the remained traffic data" and other preferential measures, which also caused certain pressure on the three major operators.
On July 22nd, Wen Ku, the director of Department of Telecommunication Development of MIIT, revealed on the State Council Information Office press conference that MIIT was promoting the telecom operators to launch “no clearance of the remained traffic data” services in the package to all the subscribers.
