October domestic 5G mobile phone shipments hit 19.5 million

October domestic 5G mobile phone shipments were 19.5 million,and represented 80.1 percent of the total shipments. 20 new 5G models were released in the month, accounting for 60.6 percent of the total new models released in the month, according to the China Mobile Phone Market Report, October. 2022 released by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology On December 26.

Local brands of mobile phone shipments were 16.8 million, down 26.3 percent year-over-year, accounting for 69.0 percent of the total shipments in October. Number of new models released by the local brands were 30, up by 20.0 percent year-over-year, and represented 90.9 percent of the total number of new models release in the month.

Domestic mobile phone shipments were 24.4 million, down 27.5 percent year-over-year in October. 33 new models were released in the month, up 26.9 percent year-over-year.
