What does J-Hook do?
DESCRIPTIONS
The J-Hook (TP-3616) is a robust and weather-resistant suspension fitting engineered for overhead installation of ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) cables in aerial fiber optic networks. Designed to securely hold cables with diameters ranging from 10mm to 15mm, the hook ensures stable cable routing while minimizing mechanical stress. Its classic open-loop J-shape provides efficient cable guidance and strain relief, making it ideal for cable pass-through or intermediate support on utility poles.
Manufactured from cold-rolled steel and protected by a hot-dip galvanized coating, the hook offers long-lasting resistance to rust and corrosion in outdoor environments. It incorporates a molded rubber insert that cushions the cable, preventing slippage and protecting the sheath from abrasion during high wind or load variations. Installation is quick and simple using stainless steel straps, ensuring a firm grip on wood, concrete, or steel poles.
With a break load of 6kN, this J-hook is engineered to support heavy fiber spans, particularly in long-run or environmentally exposed aerial deployments. It is a key component in ADSS suspension systems, where durability, ease of installation, and cable protection are critical.
