China's Fixed Broadband Download Speed Exceeds 10Mbps

Broadband Development Alliance released the broadband speed messege in China in 2Q16 recently. According to the massege, the average of China's fixed broadband download speed has increased 10.7% to 10.47Mbps, compared with the previous quarter. Both above-the-fold time and video download speed kept growing rapidly while the coincidence degree of broadband access was above 100%.

The average fixed broadband download speed has exceeded 10 Mbps in 16 provinces in China, and it was above 12Mbps in Shanghai and Beijing. Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Nanjing and Tianjin were among the top five in the provincial fixed broadband speed rankings.
