China's Basic Telecom Service Revenue Increases 5.6%

State Council Information Office held a press conference on July 25. Feng Fei, vice minister of MIIT, introduced the overall operation of industry and communications in China in 1H16.

According to the vice minister, the industrial production growth rate has gradually stabilized and industrial enterprises have improved profits in the first half of 2016. The high-tech industries and fast-upgrading industries run better.

The revenue of basic telecom services has increased 5.6% year on year, and that of value-added services has grew 18.6%. The ratios of fiber broadband users and mobile broadband users continue to rise sharply with the average monthly data traffic per subscriber hitting 692.8M, which indicates a 96.4% increase.
